2. خرگوش اور چڑیا
(Sabaq – 2 Hissa – 2 : Khargosh aur Chiriya / Lesson – 2 Part 2 : The Rabbit and the Sparrow)
چڑیا اور خرگوش آپس میں دوست تھے۔ چڑیا جامن کے پیڑ پر رہتی تھی۔ خرگوش کا خاندان بھی پاس ہی رہتا تھا۔
Chiriya aur khargosh aapas mein dost the. Chiriya jaamun ke ped par rehti thi. Khargosh ka khandaan bhi paas hi rehta tha.
A sparrow and a rabbit were friends. The sparrow lived on a Jamun (Java plum) tree. The rabbit’s family also lived nearby.
ایک دن خرگوش چڑیا کے ساتھ اپنی خالہ سے ملنے گیا۔ خالہ دونوں کو دیکھ کر بہت خوش ہوئیں۔ خالو بھی خوشی سے کھڑے تھے۔
Ek din khargosh chiriya ke saath apni khaala se milne gaya. Khaala dono ko dekh kar bahut khush hueen. Khaalu bhi khushi se khade the.
One day, the rabbit went with the sparrow to visit his maternal aunt. The aunt was delighted to see them both. The uncle also stood up with joy.
خالہ نے جلدی جلدی خرگوش کے لیے روٹی پکائی۔ چڑیا کو چاول اور چنے دیے۔ پھر سب نے جی بھر کر حلوہ کھایا۔
Khaala ne jaldi jaldi khargosh ke liye roti pakai. Chiriya ko chaawal aur chane diye. Phir sab ne jee bhar kar halwa khaya.
The aunt quickly cooked bread for the rabbit. She gave rice and chickpeas to the sparrow. Then everyone ate halwa to their heart’s content.
اساتذہ کے لیے ہدایات

اس سبق کے دو حصے ہیں۔ پہلا حصہ ’چاند میں پریاں رہتی ہیں‘ نظم ہے اور دوسرا حصہ ’خرگوش اور چڑیا‘ نثر ہے۔ ان دونوں حصوں کی مدد سے ’ج‘ گروپ کی تدریس کی جائے۔
Is sabaq ke do hissey hain. Pehla hissa ‘Chaand mein pariyan rehti hain’ nazm hai aur doosra hissa ‘Khargosh aur Chiriya’ nasr hai. In dono hisson ki madad se ‘Jeem’ group ki tadrees ki jaye.
This lesson has two parts. The first part “Fairies Live on the Moon” is a poem, and the second part “The Rabbit and the Sparrow” is prose. Teach the ‘Jeem’ letter family using both parts.
اس نظم کو جماعت میں کئی بار پڑھنے کے بعد بچوں سے معلوم کریں کہ اس میں ایسے کون سے الفاظ ہیں جن میں ’ج‘ کی آواز کا استعمال ہوا ہے۔ بچے ’باجی‘ اور ’آج‘ کہیں گے۔
Is nazm ko jamaat mein kayi baar padhne ke baad bachon se maaloorn karein ke is mein aise kaun se alfaaz hain jin mein ‘Jeem’ ki aawaz ka istemaal hua hai. Bachay ‘baaji’ aur ‘aaj’ kahein ge.
After reading the poem multiple times in class, ask the children to identify words containing the ‘J’ sound. The children will answer baaji and aaj.
پھر معلوم کیجیے کہ ایسے کون سے الفاظ ہیں جن میں ’چ‘ کی آواز کا استعمال ہوا ہے۔ بچے ’چاند‘ تو کہیں گے ہی، ممکن ہے لفظ ’بچہ‘ بھی بتادیں۔
Phir maaloom kijiye ke aise kaun se alfaaz hain jin mein ‘Chey’ ki aawaz ka istemaal hua hai. Bachay ‘chaand’ to kahein ge hi, mumkin hai lafdz ‘baccha’ bhi bata dein.
Then ask which words contain the ‘Ch’ sound. Children will surely say chaand, and may also mention the word baccha.
اب ایک بار پھر نظم پڑھ کر سوال کیجیے کہ وہ لفظ بتائیں جس میں ’خ‘ کی آواز کا استعمال ہوا ہے۔ توجہ سے سننے والے بچے ’خواب‘ کہیں گے۔
Ab ek baar phir nazm padh kar sawal kijiye ke woh lafdz batayein jis mein ‘Khay’ ki aawaz ka istemaal hua hai. Tawajjah se sunne wale bachay ‘khwaab’ kahein ge.
Now read the poem once more and ask them to find the word containing the ‘Kh’ sound. Attentive listeners will say khwaab.
باجی، آج، چاند، بچہ اور خواب کی آوازوں کی روشنی میں بچوں کو ’ج‘ گروپ سے واقف کروائیے۔ یعنی: ج چ ح خ
Baaji, aaj, chaand, baccha aur khwaab ki aawazon ki roshni mein bachon ko ‘Jeem’ group se waaqif karwaiye. Yaani: Jeem, Chey, Hay, Khay
Based on the sounds of baaji, aaj, chaand, baccha, and khwaab, introduce the children to the ‘Jeem’ group: Jeem (ج), Chey (چ), Hay (ح), Khay (خ).
اس کہانی کی مدد سے ’ج‘ گروپ کے الفاظ معلوم کیجیے۔ جیسے: چڑیا، خرگوش، جامن، خاندان، خالہ، خوش، خالو، جلدی، چاول، چنے اور حلوہ۔
Is kahani ki madad se ‘Jeem’ group ke alfaaz maaloom kijiye. Jaise: chiriya, khargosh, jaamun, khandaan, khaala, khush, khaalu, jaldi, chaawal, chane aur halwa.
Identify words from the ‘Jeem’ group using the story, such as: chiriya (sparrow), khargosh (rabbit), jaamun, khandaan (family), khaala (aunt), khush (happy), khaalu (uncle), jaldi (quickly), chaawal (rice), chane (chickpeas), and halwa.
بچوں کو ’ج‘ گروپ کی ذیلی شکل بتائیے اور مشق کروائیے۔ یعنی: جـ چـ حـ خـ
Bachon ko ‘Jeem’ group ki zaili shakal bataiye aur mashq karwaiye. Yaani: j-, ch-, h-, kh-
